Kanye VMA Outburst
I can’t speak for everyone of course, but as a fan of Kanye West, I was truly disappointed by his decision to interrupt young Taylor Swift. It was not only un necessary, but as an entertainer, he should have realized the importance of the moment. In an interview later, Taylor was initially excited that a fellow artist Kanye wanted to come on stage with her. Disappointed by his outrageous outburst, young Swift was saddened by someone who she obviously looked up to prior to this incident.
Now that he has totally alienated himself from everyone in the entertainment industry, his weak apology pales in comparison to the negative impact his actions had on the career of young Taylor Swift. I was never more proud than when Beyonce was gracious enough to bring Taylor back on stage when B was presented with her VMA for Video of the Year. Kanye went on to appear on the Jay Leno Show where he was appropriately put in his place with a simple question. What do you think your mother would have said about your actions?
